Pītā Guided Meditation
for Relaxation, Sleep, & Feeling Good
Q
If my sinuses are blocked how will I do the breathing suggested on the guided
meditation CD’s?
A
Just breathe normally, whatever is comfortable for you.
Q
Will I have to lie down to do the guided meditation relaxation?
A
It’s not necessary to lie down if you’re sitting in a comfortable chair or propped up with
pillows. Experiment and see what gives you the best result.
Q
Can I listen to the guided meditation CD when I’m driving the car?
A
No. That is not advisable. The guided meditations are designed for relaxation and should not
be listened to when driving or operating machinery.
Q
If I can’t ‘see’ pictures in my mind’s eye, will I get benefit from listening to the guided
meditation track?
A
Yes you can get benefit from the relaxation or guided imagery meditations. Imagery can be
pictures, words, colors, or feelings, whatever presents itself to you while listening. When
you’re deeply relaxed let the ‘images’ flow to you without judging them. The images may bring
you insights as you listen, directly afterwards, or their meaning may reveal themselves to you
at a later time. This could be hours, days or weeks later. Some people find it helpful to take a
few notes after listening and others like to draw pictures. So just do what feels right to you.
Q
What if I don’t like a word that is used on the recording and I want to replace it with a
word I prefer?
A
Feel free to edit or replace words to suit yourself.
Q
How long is each guided meditation track?
A
The length of each track varies depending on the recording. Most guided meditations begin
with a guided relaxation and background music or nature sounds. When the guided relaxation
or guided imagery ends the music/nature sound continues for another while (usually about 15
minutes) to allow time for further rest and reflection.
Q
Can I listen to guided meditation after eating?
A
Yes, you can. However, because of the deep breathing I’d wait a little while after a big meal.
The length of time to wait will depend on how you feel and how quickly you digest food.
Q
Will listening to guided meditations bring up emotional feelings?
A
This is possible. When we’re deeply relaxed we may become more aware of how we feel. If
you experience emotional feelings during the guided meditations it may be helpful to focus
your attention on your breathing and let the feelings flow and pass from you. You may feel all
the better for it.
Q
I’m an artist and I struggle with the writer’s block, can relaxation or guided imagery
help me be more creative?
A
Yes, it probably can help you. The relaxation process followed by the guided imagery can
stimulate creativity and promote inspiration. Many artists have used my recording to inspire
their creative work.
Q
Where can I buy your guided meditation relaxation CD’s?
A
You can download a track or album from this website or from CD baby, ITunes or Amazon.
Q
Is there any subliminal messages on the recordings?
A
No, there are no subliminal messages or conscious hypnotic techniques used in these
recording. Each track is created with Pītā’s soothing voice, helpful words, and beautiful
music.
